Unfortunately, various organizations have confirmed 2024 as the (so far) warmest year on record, with average global temperatures at about 1.5°C above pre-industrial level. Apart from statistical data, many of us will have noticed the higher temperatures, shorter winters, decreased precipitation, maybe even water scarcity, devastating forest fires, and the like. Europe is one of the regions most affected by climate warming, scientists say.
